Welcome! I'm Monika, the artist and instructor behind Mrs. Mon Fiber Arts. I live in the beautiful country of Costa Rica which has being my source of inspiration to start working on fiber arts. My technique is inspired on raw materials of nature. I seek to preserve their essence and highlight their benefits, thus transforming them into high-quality artisanal pieces.

My passion for creating beautiful and unique pieces using different fibers has led to be part of home-decor projects in hotels, restaurants, retail stores, airports, and beautiful homes. We specialize in items such as wall hangings, hammocks, and kids furniture, all handmade with love and care.

As I've grown as an artist during the years I realized that the beauty of fiber arts had to be spread through the world and thats how I also became a macrame and weaving teacher. I've worked with hundreds of students in in-person workshops in Costa Rica, Chicago and New York, learning to explain concepts and techniques so that ANYONE and EVERYONE can enjoy this art. I believe in the good that fiber arts do - both as a form of art, and self growth.
